Transtec Garage Equipment Services was established in 1985 by Kevin R. Westoby and quickly became a well recognised service provider in the field of mechanical and hydraulic garage equipment. Within a short space of time new emission regulations were implemented by the government and due to a need for inexpensive yet reliable emission testing equipment, Transtec formed a partnership with Servitron – a privately owned division of Tecnotest and helped to market and back-up a large proportion of the UKs exhaust emission testing machinery. Within a matter of years diesel smoke testing and then catalyst emission testing thrust Transtec GES forward and into newer market places such as Total MOT Planning, commercial vehicle inspection lanes and complete workshop solutions.

Transtec GES are now close service and sales agents for many major garage equipment manufacturers who provide reliable, high quality workshop and test equipment. Over the past 10 years Transtec GES have successfully negotiated various VOSA tenders, large scale installations for manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, Vauxhall motors, Renault UK, Mazda, Isuzu and Alfa Romeo. We also manage to provide the public sector of the garage industry with our 24 hr service and breakdown cover and the knowledge they have made the right choice in their workshop equipment supplier.

We are currently planning to develop our sales and service sectors with an eye for the future of vehicle maintenance and ensure all our customers are kept up to date with DVSA testing requirements.
